Pre-Cut Doctor Blades Save You Time and Money

doctor bladeDoctor blade material is typically sold in rolls or coils. Before installation in the press, the blades must be prepped according to the printer’s specifications. This may involve cutting them to the required length to fit the chamber or pre-notching the corners when being used as containment blades. Any additional handling of the blades not only costs money in terms of labor, but also greatly increases the risk of injury, damage to the blade and material waste.

Buying doctor blades that are press-ready can be a source of convenience and substantial cost savings to the printer.  When blades are cut-to-lenPrenotched bladesgth or pre-notched by the supplier, they require minimal handling.   Less handling means reduced labor costs and less potential for injury, blade damage and waste.
