Plymouth, MA, February 25, 2009  Flexo Concepts announced today that it has named Benchmark Products its exclusive MicroClean™ agent in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.  Benchmark’s non-exclusive territory will include the states of Alabama, Florida and Tennessee.

Flexo Concepts will begin a one-year deal with Benchmark Products effective immediately.  Under the agreement, Benchmark will sell the MicroClean dry media anilox cleaning equipment to the wide-web, narrow-web and sheetfed offset markets in the region.

Dave Burgess, Flexo Concepts' Vice President of Sales and Marketing, believes the partnership will strengthen the MicroClean brand in the southeastern U.S. and provide a point of contact for local customers.  "With his knowledge and longstanding reputation in the industry, Tom Sprecher was the logical candidate to represent our MicroClean line in this region.  We are confident in his ability to promote the benefits of the equipment to continue to grow the business in these tough economic times.”

Burgess noted that equipment sales are occurring despite the economic downturn.  “While companies these days are taking a long, hard look at capital purchases, the premium placed on color control along with the cost-saving benefits of operating a MicroClean system continue to justify their investment in the equipment.”  He says that customers are recognizing that maintaining color control is more important than ever in this competitive environment. He also points out that people appreciate that the recyclability of the media and the fact that the machine runs without water or chemicals are key economical benefits over competing anilox cleaning methods.

Benchmark Products provides equipment sales, service and installation services to the printing, extrusion and converting industries.  Owner Tom Sprecher obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and began his career as a design engineer.  He spent the next 21 years working as a sales representative in the flexible packaging industry before starting Benchmark Products in 1996.  The company is located in Marietta, Georgia.
